“ISN-TUNDUK”: Boon to Student Initiatives.

Bishkek: Students’ are an important part of the society. They constitute the majority of the professionals in any country around the globe. Students’ have young, fresh and creative minds which can surely lead to the development of ideas that can be positive and helpful to the society, country and its people and the world. Many student organizations operate around the world and one such community was started inKyrgyzstan also.Keeping this ideology in mind, Students’ from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, India and Pakistan etc. joined hands in hands to form an international cooperative community called as the ‘International Student Network’ “(ISN)-TUNDUK” here in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz republic. The meaning of ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ is: ISN means the international group of students from different countries including Kyrgyzstan. ‘TUNDUK’ is the golden colored national symbol which is inscribed onto the center of the National Flag of Kyrgyzstan which depicts the total number of communities and tribes of people living in Kyrgyzstan; in short it can be bannered as ‘THE PEOPLE OF KYRGYZSTAN’. Together ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ can be described as the organization that deals in the development and welfare of the students, needy and poor people ofKyrgyzstan through student cooperation nationally and internationally.

The main mission behind ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ is the development of communities through student cooperation. The base which formed the office for ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ was officially granted free of cost representing its head office by International High School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan to promote student initiatives and fulfill their dreams.

First of all, it aims to contribute to the development of civil society in Central Asia by turning talents, skills and experience gained by student community to practical uses, such as cross-culture dialogue, improving educational standards for international diploma recognition, supporting poverty and encouraging tourism in Kyrgyzstan and the region among the youth etc. It conducts trainings, seminars, educational fairs and organizes meetings for representatives of universities, local governments and NGOs.

Secondly, the motto in this case is to make Kyrgyzstan popular to the outside world so that people around the world know the importance of Kyrgyzstan, its values, tradition, culture and people through which tourism sector could be developed. ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ believes in uniting students from the entire world as ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ is not restricted to Kyrgyzstan or the region but for students from the entire world in order to develop Kyrgyzstan mainly.

Thirdly, ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ is engaged in promoting English language and making members realize the importance of English and its use as an international dialect worldwide because all members and participants of ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ speak in English. Books, Pamphlets, Guides, Text books and Dictionaries are a part of the ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ library which acts as tools in the promotion process.

Fourthly, ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ is engaged in the process of uniting students from various universities across Kyrgyzstan and the world. Representatives of ‘ISN-TUNDUK’ personally meet the administrative staff of universities and discuss with them the need for nest cooperation among students of either university. Debates and game competitions are ensured that are the main events which promote such type of associations. Many such associations among universities have been formed yet.

OPINIONS:-‘Adult population has experience and money but have no time for implementation of their good will in development but this is contrast in case of youth as they have time but no money’, ‘Kyrgyzstan has strong natural and political recourse for support of student’s activities’ says Dr. Elena P. Alekseeva who is a Pediatrician by profession but is the founder and expert member of ‘ISN-TUNDUK’.

Students who are in the medical field (doctors) have taken up the task of educating people towards AIDS awareness and other dangerous diseases, proper usage and dosage of drugs, sanitation and hygiene. “Informing people about the prevention of hazardous diseases is more important than its cure” says Radhika Namburi who is a 1st year student of medicine and member of “ISN-TUNDUK”. “People should be educated on using condoms and having safer sex and should be emphasized in the usage of disposable and sterile syringes to prevent AIDS epidemic” feels SMRK Sagar, 2nd yr student of medicine, also an active member studying in ISM, IUK.
Students constituting the economics, commerce and law field have taken the responsibility to educate the people on paying taxes on time, insuring themselves and setting up seminars and camps in order to make people realize the minus points of Kyrgyzstan and other countries joining the HIPC initiative. “Our organization will give an opportunity to each student to integrate and unite to overcome cultural misunderstanding and finally gain tolerance in our society”, says Altynai Djumasheva, a Kyrgyz law student who is also a member studying in Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University. “This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other, to achieve dreams and unite for a better future; Out of one smile we can make a laugh, and out of one action we can make a difference” feels Solomatova Alexandra, also student of Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University.Students in the engineering and biotechnology field give advice to people on new agricultural techniques, water conservation and ecological education and also keeping the people informed regarding internet and its usage. “People should learn how to use the internet which is the basic necessity these days to bring nations and people closer to each other” says Zain Javed, Pakistani student, also a member. “It is very important to guide the people regarding the pollution and how to recycle waste products for a healthier ecology” says Cholpon Junusova, student of Kyrgyzstan Manas TurkeyUniversity, also a member.
Active ISN-TUNDUK members and students such as Zain Javed and Moazzem of Pakistan and Girish, Prince and Mustafa of India have similar views. All student members actively take part in charitable activities organized regularly by ISN-TUNDUK in Orphanages and Old Age Homes. Members collect donations, old clothes, buy candies and chocolates and distribute them in these needy places in the suburbs of Bishkek and other cities acrossKyrgyzstan.ISN-TUNDUK is determined to make a contribution in strengthening democratic process, fostering freedom speech and media with its promotion inCentral Asia and overseas, providing better opportunities for professional development of students and developing contacts with colleagues from other countries. Such organizations will surely help in the development of the world and is the solution to many sociological problems oh humanity in the world.

786-Does it stand for Bismilahir Rahman Nir Rahim.

"786" - Does it stand for 'Bismillahi Rahmaani Raheem'?

786 is the numerical representation of "Bismillahirrahamaanirraheem" has no religious or Islamic significance.

The numerals 786 or any other numerals in no way represent 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' or other Surahs of the noble Qur'�n and is not the Sunnah either.

CAN NUMBER 786 REPLACE THE HOLY NAME OF GOD?

Allaah say in Qur'�n "Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'�n in order that you may understand" (Surah Yousuf 12:2).

We are instructed to recite the Qur'an Majeed, as can be seen from the following verses: "And (it is) a Qur'�n which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages. (in 23 years)." (Surah Bani Israil 17:106); "....So RECITE as much of the Qur'�n as may be easy (for you),..." (Surah Muzammil 73:20).

Now would one recite the Qur'an if it is reduced to numbers? As an example, we shall reduce the Surah Fatihah to numerical figures for the benefit of the reader.

This old game of numbers was practised by the ancient Egyptians, as did many other civilisations. Islaam came to ELIMINATE ALL such superstitions, mysteries and numerological mumbo-jumbo. However, Muslims are still enslaved to the number game, and think that 786 represent BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM.

The innovation of writing '786' replacing 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' has been adopted for a long time and the majority of the Ummah is still indulged in it inadvertently. Apart from the common folk, the scholars also heed no attention towards it and to avoid disrespect to the Holy Words they use it in their letters and documents. They adopt it as 'correct' and 'better' way to invite Allaah's blessings and have also started replacing the Holy Words by this number on their houses, offices, buildings, etc. Unfortunately, this tendency is gradually gaining momentum. But, do we see this number instead of the Holy Words in the Holy Qur'�n? Or, can we write it there as well? can we remove 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' from the top of Surah al-Fatihah and replace it with the number 786? Obviously not.

If we study the Qur'�n, we see it carries the holy words in a letter from Prophet Solomon (pbuh) to the Queen of Sheeba - Bilqis - who was an infidel at that time. Even Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in his letters to different heads of states and governments, used the holy words at the top. Therefore, whosoever uses 786 with the intention to obtain Allaah's blessings, is a misguided person and any attempt to justify it, is ignorance.

More astonishing is that fact that '786' is an aggregation of the numbers of Hindu 'Lord Hari Krishna'.

h-5, r-200, r-10, k-20, r-200, sh-300, n-50, a-1 = Aggregate of 786, Thus, the aggregate number of these letters (Hari Krishna) equals 786. This is also the case of 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem'. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid using this number to avoid the danger of being indulging in infidelity.

Islaam's foundation is laid on the belief in Tawheed (oneness of God). If we associate anyone with Allaah's exalted names orally or practically, we would be committing infidelity which is an unpardonable sin. The Qur'�n warns us, one who finds a rival against Allaah, Allaah will never allow him to enter paradise, and his abode is the hell. The letters by the Prophet (pbuh) to non-Muslim Kings and chiefs bear the holy words 'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem'. This was also the case of his noble companions. Did the Prophet (pbuh) and his companions respect the Holy Words less than we do? Was the verse, 'Today I completed your religion for you' (Surah Maidah 5:3), revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) or to the so called scholars of our age who are all bent to amend the Divine principles.
Now, when it became known that '786' is written in place of Hindu, 'Lord Krishna', and has no significance in the Holy Qur'�n and Sunnah, it is obviously an innovation and goes against the Divine doctrine of 'Obey Allaah and His Prophet'. Beware, of newly-innovated matters, for every innovation is a going astray (Jahanam).

Similarly, some Muslims replace Allaah's name by the number '66' and the Prophet's name by '92'. But if one ask, the number '420' is used against somebody's name and he is called '420'. Can he bear such an insult?
Calling someone by a nick name is also a sin. Allaah Ta'ala says, 'Don't call one another by nick names'. If Allaah prohibits the use of nicknames for fellow human beings, how can He allow the use of such insulting replacement number for Himself and His Prophet (pbuh).'Bismillaah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem' great significance in the Qur'�n and Muslims are ordered to begin any work but in the names Allaah, not in the number of '786' or any other substitution.

Americas, five million in Asia, two million in Europe and 100,000 in
Africa. For every single Jew in the world there are 100 Muslims. Yet, Jews
are more than a hundred times more powerful than all the Muslims put
together. Ever wondered why?

Jesus of Nazareth was Jewish. Albert Einstein, the most influential
scientist of all time and TIME magazine's 'Person of the Century', was a
Jew. Sigmund Freud -- id, ego, superego -- the father of psychoanalysis
was a Jew. So were Karl Marx, Paul Samuelson and Milton Friedman.

Here are a few other Jews whose intellectual output has enriched the whole
humanity: Benjamin Rubin gave humanity the vaccinating needle. Jonas Salk
developed the first polio vaccine. Alert Sabin developed the improved live
polio vaccine. Gertrude Elion gave us a leukaemia fighting drug. Baruch
Blumberg developed the vaccination for Hepatitis B. Paul Ehrlich
discovered a treatment for syphilis (a sexually transmitted disease). Elie
Metchnikoff won a Nobel Prize in infectious diseases.

Bernard Katz won a Nobel Prize in neuromuscular transmission. Andrew
Schally won a Nobel in endocrinology (disorders of the endocrine system;
diabetes, hyperthyroidism). Aaron Beck founded Cognitive Therapy
(psychotherapy to treat mental disorders, depression and phobias). Gregory
Pincus developed the first oral contraceptive pill. George Wald won a
Nobel for furthering our understanding of the human eye. Stanley Cohen won
a Nobel in embryology (study of embryos and their development). Willem
Kolff came up with the kidney dialysis machine.

Over the past 105 years, 14 million Jews have won 15-dozen Nobel Prizes
while only three Nobel Prizes have been won by 1.4 billion Muslims (other
than Peace Prizes).

Why are Jews so powerful? Stanley Mezor invented the first
micro-processing chip. Leo Szilard developed the first nuclear chain
reactor. Peter Schultz, optical fibre cable; Charles Adler, traffic
lights; Benno Strauss, Stainless steel; Isador Kisee, sound movies; Emile
Berliner, telephone microphone and Charles Ginsburg, videotape recorder.

Famous financiers in the business world who belong to Jewish faith include
Ralph Lauren (Polo), Levis Strauss (Levi's Jeans), Howard Schultz
(Starbuck's), Sergey Brin (Google), Michael Dell (Dell Computers), Larry
Ellison (Oracle), Donna Karan (DKNY), Irv Robbins (Baskins & Robbins) and
Bill Rosenberg (Dunkin Donuts).

Richard Levin, President of Yale University, is a Jew. So are Henry
Kissinger (American secretary of state), Alan Greenspan (fed chairman
under Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush), Joseph Lieberman, Madeleine
Albright (American secretary of state), Casper Weinberger (American
secretary of defence), Maxim Litvinov (USSR foreign Minister), David
Marshal (Singapore's first chief minister), Issac Isaacs (governor-general
of Australia), Benjamin Disraeli (British statesman and author), Yevgeny
Primakov (Russian PM), Barry Goldwater, Jorge Sampaio (president of
Portugal), John Deutsch (CIA director), Herb Gray (Canadian deputy PM),
Pierre Mendes (French PM), Michael Howard (British home secretary), Bruno
Kreisky (chancellor of Austria) and Robert Rubin (American secretary of
treasury).

In the media, famous Jews include Wolf Blitzer (CNN), Barbara Walters (ABC
News), Eugene Meyer (Washington Post), Henry Grunwald (editor-in-chief
Time), Katherine Graham (publisher of The Washington Post), Joseph
Lelyyeld (Executive editor, The New York Times), and Max Frankel (New York
Times).

Can you name the most beneficent philanthropist in the history of the
world? The name is George Soros, a Jew, who has so far donated a colossal
$4 billion most of which has gone as aid to scientists and universities
around the world. Second to George Soros is Walter Annenberg, another Jew,
who has built a hundred libraries by donating an estimated $2 billion.

At the Olympics, Mark Spitz set a record of sorts by wining seven gold
medals. Lenny Krayzelburg is a three-time Olympic gold medalist. Spitz,
Krayzelburg and Boris Becker are all Jewish.

Did you know that Harrison Ford, George Burns, Tony Curtis, Charles
Bronson, Sandra Bullock, Billy Crystal, Woody Allen, Paul Newman, Peter
Sellers, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas, Ben Kingsley, Kirk Douglas,
Goldie Hawn, Cary Grant, William Shatner, Jerry Lewis and Peter Falk are
all Jewish? As a matter of fact, Hollywood itself was founded by a Jew.
Among directors and producers, Steven Spielberg, Mel Brooks, Oliver Stone,
Aaron Spelling (Beverly Hills 90210), Neil Simon (The Odd Couple), Andrew
Vaina (Rambo 1/2/3), Michael Man (Starsky and Hutch), Milos Forman (One
flew over the Cuckoo's Nest), Douglas Fairbanks (The thief of Baghdad) and
Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters) are all Jewish.

To be certain, Washington is the capital that matters and in Washington
the lobby that matters is The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or
AIPAC. Washington knows that if PM Ehud Olmert were to discover that the
earth is flat, AIPAC will make the 109th Congress pass a resolution
congratulating Olmert on his discovery.

William James Sidis, with an IQ of 250-300, is the brightest human who
ever existed. Guess what faith did he belong to?

Answer: Education.

Why are Muslims so powerless?

There are an estimated 1,476,233,470 Muslims on the face of the planet:
one billion in Asia, 400 million in Africa, 44 million in Europe and six
million in the Americas. Every fifth human being is a Muslim; for every
single Hindu there are two Muslims, for every Buddhist there are two
Muslims and for every Jew there are one hundred Muslims. Ever wondered why
Muslims are so powerless?

Here is why: There are 57 member-countries of the Organisation of Islamic
Conference (OIC), and all of them put together have around 500
universities; one university for every three million Muslims. The United
States has 5,758 universities and India has 8,407. In 2004, Shanghai Jiao
Tong University compiled an 'Academic Ranking of World Universities', and
intriguingly, not one university from Muslim-majority states was in the
top-500.

As per data collected by the UNDP, literacy in the Christian world stands
at nearly 90 per cent and 15 Christian-majority states have a literacy
rate of 100 per cent. A Muslim-majority state, as a sharp contrast, has an
average literacy rate of around 40 per cent and there is no
Muslim-majority state with a literacy rate of 100 per cent. Some 98 per
cent of the 'literates' in the Christian world had completed primary
school, while less than 50 per cent of the 'literates' in the Muslim world
did the same. Around 40 per cent of the 'literates' in the Christian world
attended university while no more than two per cent of the 'literates' in
the Muslim world did the same.

Muslim-majority countries have 230 scientists per one million Muslims. The
US has 4,000 scientists per million and Japan has 5,000 per million. In
the entire Arab world, the total number of full-time researchers is 35,000
and there are only 50 technicians per one million Arabs (in the Christian
world there are up to 1,000 technicians per one million). Furthermore, the
Muslim world spends 0.2 per cent of its GDP on research and development,
while the Christian world spends around five per cent of its GDP.

Conclusion: The Muslim world lacks the capacity to produce knowledge.

Daily newspapers per 1,000 people and number of book titles per million
are two indicators of whether knowledge is being diffused in a society. In
Pakistan, there are 23 daily newspapers per 1,000 Pakistanis while the
same ratio in Singapore is 360. In the UK, the number of book titles per
million stands at 2,000 while the same in Egypt is 20.

Conclusion: The Muslim world is failing to diffuse knowledge.

Exports of high technology products as a percentage of total exports are
an important indicator of knowledge application. Pakistan's exports of
high technology products as a percentage of total exports stands at one
per cent. The same for Saudi Arabia is 0.3 per cent; Kuwait, Morocco, and
Algeria are all at 0.3 per cent while Singapore is at 58 per cent.
Conclusion: The Muslim world is failing to apply knowledge.

Why are Muslims powerless? Because we aren't producing knowledge. Why are
Muslims powerless? Because we aren't diffusing knowledge. Why are Muslims
powerless? Because we aren't applying knowledge. And, the future belongs
to knowledge-based societies.

Interestingly, the combined annual GDP of 57 OIC-countries is under $2
trillion. America, just by herself, produces goods and services worth $12
trillion; China $8 trillion, Japan $3.8 trillion and Germany $2.4 trillion
(purchasing power parity basis).

Oil rich Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Qatar collectively produce goods
and services (mostly oil) worth $500 billion; Spain alone produces goods
and services worth over $1 trillion, Catholic Poland $489 billion and
Buddhist Thailand $545 billion (Muslim GDP as a percentage of world GDP is
fast declining).

So, why are Muslims so powerless?

Answer: Lack of education.

Indian Muslim Council-USA, an advocacy group working toward safeguarding Indian society's pluralist and tolerant ethos, condemned the multiple bomb blasts in Mumbai, India on July 11, 2006.

According to news reports received on July 11, 2006, more than 20 innocent lives were lost when multiple bomb explosions hit Bombay's busy commuter rail network during busy rush hour.

Dr. Shaik Ubaid, President of IMC-USA said, "We condemn these heinous crimes. The perpetrators are not only just enemies of India but enemies of humanity. We are always deeply pained by such senseless acts of violence. We call on the Indian government to arrest the perpetrators of this terrorist act and swiftly bring them to justice and seek maximum penalty under the law. We are confident that Indian government will not let these bombings be exploited by those political parties and religious groups that do not believe in pluralism and secular democracy. We stand in sympathy with the families and friends of those who lost their lives and call on all Indians to join together and condemn this violence against innocent civilians."

Since it's launch on the anniversary of India's independence day, August 15th, 2002, IMC-USA has been actively promoting values of pluralism and tolerance amongst the Indian Diaspora in the United States.

What you should understand is that while Tasawwuf is based on the Qur’aan and Sunnah, in every era there were those Sufis whose practices contradicted the Qur’aan and Sunnah, because of whom Tasawwuf was at times given a bad name.

Keeping this in mind, whichever statement of the Salaf you come across, in criticism of Tasawwuf, , then remember that this was said in the context of the Tasawwuf which is against the Qur’aan and Sunnah, not regarding true Tasawwuf.

We choose not to issue a verdict of physical Jihaad against the Qadiyanis, etc.

As for the Sufis being part of the Ahlus sunnah, it should be noted that it is not our claim that all Sufis are part of the Ahlus sunnah and neither do we exclude all Sufis from Ahlus sunnah. Those that are truly practising upon the Shari’ah and are not violating any divine injunction cannot be excluded just on the basis of being called Sufis.

Hence, each of the various types of Sufis will have to be viewed in the light of the Shari’ah. No general ruling can be made concerning the status of all of them at once.

Question: Salaam.I would like to know why some people regard Sufism as something that is not part of Islam, and something that is wrong. They say that Sufis pray and seek help from the Awliya and saints when the only One they should be praying to is Allah. Please clarify...Jazakallah

1. Over the years, a number of un-Islamic practices have seeped into Sufism.
This is why some people deny Sufism altogether.
2. However, Sufism deals with spiritual reformation thereby gaining
spiritual proximity to Allah. There is nothing wrong with this.
3. The Sufis do not seek help from the Awliyaa. The grave-worshippers do
this. This is a form of Shirk.

Question: What is sufism and what is its position in Islam if any ? Isn't Islam only the belief in and practice of the Holy Quraan and the hadith ?

Islam promotes Tazkiyah - the cleaning or purification of the heart of all
forms of spiritual filth that may impede ones spiritual progress and closer
proximity to Allah. Now, some people realize that achieving this goal - i.e.
spiritual purification - can only be gained by staying aloof from society
and adhering to other stringent regulations. Such people are generally
referred to as Sufis. The branch they are involved with is referred to
Sufism.

As far as Sufism is concerned, it is a branch of Islam that deals in
spiritual elevation and this is also a primary objective of Islam. In short,
Sufism is a branch of Deen (Islam). However, over the years, a number of
un-Islamic practices have seeped into this branch. Hence, the un-Islamic
practices of some of these 'Sufis' cannot be condoned.

We do acknowledge that a number of new sects have exacerbated the divisions
amongst the Muslims. This does not imply that all movements or sects are
false.

The Soofies whose lives were in accordance to the teachings of Islam and the
Sunnah were on the straight path. Irrespective of the name attributed to
them, they are still members of the Ahlus sunnah Wal Jamaa. The Tareeqahs we
follow are basically pathways en-route to our spiritual enhancement. They
may be termed as a good Bid'at just like a number of other newly construed
mediums of Deen. The Madaaris for instance.

True and authentic Tasawwuf is in fact the law. Some laws deal with the external actions such as Salaat, Hajj, etc. these are discussed by the Fuqahaa.

Some laws apply to the inner self, e.g. to free oneself from pride, jealousy, etc. This dimension is discussed with the Soofiya. However, it is the injunction of the Qur’aan and Ahaadith to free oneself from pride, etc. Thus Tasawwuf deals with the laws associated with the innerself. It is, therefore, essential to adopt Tasawwuf so that one may act on those laws which deal with the inner self.

Question: What is a Sufi? Is Sufism right?

Sufism is a process of spiritual upliftment. It is a way of reforming
oneself and attaining closeness to Allah Ta'ala. Spiritual upliftment,
reformation and attaining closeness to Allah are orders replete in the Qur'
aan.

If it is possible for any individual to reform himself, he should do so. However, it is generally noticed that individuals experience difficulties in
reforming themselves and seek assistance of a spiritual guide who is pious and adhere to Shari'ah in reforming themselves. The practise of taking
allegiance (Bay'at) and following the guidance of one's spiritual mentor is called Sufism.

Once the centre of the Ottoman Empire, the modern secular republic, Turkey
Was established in the 1920 s. Straddling in between the continents of
Europe and Asia, Turkey's strategic location has given it major influence in
The region - and control over the entrance to the Black Sea giving it vast
Opportunities in trade and business with the European Union.
After years of mounting difficulties which brought the country close to
economic collapse, a tough recovery programmed was agreed with the IMF in
2002. Since then, Turkey has seen impressive progress. Economic growth has
averaged over 5% and inflation has fallen dramatically making the Lira
powerful and the Euro acceptable in the Turkish economy.

In recent years, as Ankara has set its sights firmly on European Union
membership, Turkey became an official EU candidate country in 1999 and, in
line with EU requirements, went on to introduce substantial human rights and
economic reforms. Mr. Erdogan, the Prime Minister of Turkey identifies EU
entry as a top priority and introduced reforms which paved the way for the
opening of membership talks in October 2005. After intense bargaining, EU
membership talks were formally launched in October 2005. Accession
negotiations are expected to take about 10 years.

It is not an unknown fact that Kyrgyzstan and Turkey share the best of
bilateral relations, at political, business and social levels when compared
to that of other countries that Kyrgyzstan shares. The proofs are the
successful 250 firms and enterprises across Kyrgyzstan which includes
hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, commercial, trade and business centers
along with universities, schools and colleges and other organizations.
> Businessmen, Teachers, Doctors, Engineers and Economists are some of the
citizens of Turkey who can be considered in building the economy of the
Kyrgyz Republic directly or indirectly and who are behind the curtain. It is
quite clear now that Turkey is a future member of the EU and it is time how
Kyrgyzstan plans to benefit from this future EU member.

There are many spheres in which Kyrgyz economy can be benefited as soon as
Turkey joins the EU. All developments in Kyrgyzstan would be initiated and
followed by Turkey as it would be the key representation, representing
Kyrgyzstan in the EU. At first, Kyrgyzstan would not only be in touch with
one country in Europe (Turkey) but with the entire Europe. An association
with many countries in Europe could be formed with Turkey acting as a door
for Kyrgyzstan to enter EU. Countries in Europe are highly advanced and well
developed with many having powerful economies with nullified inflation
rates. Loans and Debts with less interest schemes can be granted to
Kyrgyzstan for the development of its resources which can also lead to the
development of the Kyrgyz economy. These loans could also be used to wave
off the so called manageable external debt of Kyrgyzstan removing a heavy
load and burden over the Kyrgyz economy. Secondly, European NGOs would be
given a chance to find a place in Kyrgyzstan through which many fields in
business, communication and education could be developed. Thirdly, Special
privileges in the departments of visa, travel, aviation etc. could be
granted to Kyrgyz citizens to enter EU through Turkey for education,
employment opportunities and business etc.

Turkey has always helped Kyrgyzstan in improving the standard of education in Kyrgyzstan.
It has always donated billions of dollars to the education
sector for its development. Kyrgyzstan Turkey Manas University is
successfully imparting education in Kyrgyzstan with many branches present in
Bishkek. These universities provide good and high quality education when
teachers from both Turkey and Kyrgyzstan compiling with the EU standards
(now and after EU membership). When Kyrgyz students study in these
universities, the degrees and diplomas from these universities would be
accepted across Europe entitling Kyrgyz citizens to work and complete their
further education anywhere in Europe. These students would receive higher
salaries when compared to salaries in Kyrgyzstan, they would send this money
to their parents and families residing in Kyrgyzstan which would also add to
the Kyrgyz economy plus solving the problem of unemployment. Demir Kyrgyz
Bank has invested millions of dollars into the Kyrgyz Economy having many
share holders. It is one of the most reliable banks in Kyrgyzstan.
Commercial and Trade centers like Beta Stores have always been a shopping
pleasure for the local people. It has displayed a variety of products from
Turkey and other parts of Europe.

Gold and Tobacco can be exported to the EU from Kyrgyzstan as it is in
abundance. Tourists from EU can be attracted to Kyrgyzstan by unveiling
natural resource tourist places such as mountains, lakes etc. Agriculture
which is the main service sector of the people of Kyrgyzstan could be highly
developed with the latest techniques, machinery and equipment etc. inviting
experts from Kyrgyzstan. Five star hotels of high profile from Europe would
be interested to expand their network in this Central Asian republic
developing tourism. Health reforms can be brought in, introducing accurate
treatments, health care, effective medicines etc. Democracy can also be
developed in Kyrgyzstan looking onto the successful democratic level in
Turkey.
“Kyrgyzstan should ensure a better understanding with Turkey as the years
pass by as it will surely help its economy” says Huseyin, a Turkish
Businessman who deals in chocolates. “Every one knows that Turkey has always
helped Kyrgyzstan to achieve development and it will keep helping after it
has become a EU member” feels Daniel, a Kyrgyz student in economics studying
in Kyrgyz Arabaeva University. We have to wait and watch till Turkey becomes
a member of the EU and what does it do for Kyrgyzstan, this is what Bipin
Kumar has to say, an Indian student studying medicine in ISM, IUK. Turkey is
a member of the Organization for Islamic Conference (OIC) based in the Arab
World and once Turkey becomes a member of the EU it would be like a traitor
part on Turkey says Mustafa Ali, a Pakistani graduate in political sciences.
It is a clear indication that Turkey’s entry into the EU would be the first
step towards the development of Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, the governments of
both sides should be positive until the admission of Turkey into the EU.
Plans and future negotiations should be ensured in order to continue
developments in Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Kyrgyz economy can thus be boosted in
various fields of interests such as democracy, education, tourism, banking,
health etc. The world will watch these events carefully and we hope that it
would surely be positive for Kyrgyz economy.
